I managed to sort at least the laundry (actually Summer did), clean the bathroom, and wash at least the rug and shower curtain. I work 6 days a week 64 hours this week. Now in bed working on my website.  Tonight and tomorrow will be my last day off for the next two weeks.  I work a straight 14 days and 88 hours each week.  Crazy huh?  But honestly it's a blessing and I'm thankful.

I also need to add oil in my car tomorrow.

Had a good workout today. I ate horribly this weekend and making up for it today at the gym was hard.  Barely lasted 30 minutes. Love the kind of workouts that make you feel like your heart is going to explode.  Thats when you know you are burning off the donuts. :)

Sad to hear one of  our Trail Blazers have passed on.  Praying for everyone who is grieving over him, his family, his friends, and his fans.  So saddddd.

Healthcare : Your Money or Your Life

Healthcare: Your Money or Your Life  <----

Came upon this documentary while searching for a food documentary.  It's about the healthcare system in America in the 1970's.  It's very sad and graphic.  It reminded me of my dad.  He refused to get seen at the doctors because he would rather save his money or avoid more bills then take care of his own health.  I remember when he was diagnosed with cancer, he was rejected for disability.  It was very sad.  He had worked and paid taxes his whole life here in America and he got rejected for disability.  He didn't even request for assistance for health insurance, he just didn't have it.  That was just it!  He worked at a minimum wage job helping disabled people work.  When he finally got approved for disability he was already in the hospital dying. It was very sad.  I was very upset. Single dad of three.  Didn't waste money on his own health , because he was so worried about medical bills. *sighs*

Then there was this mother in the documentary.  She said she didn't want to have any more babies because she couldn't even survive with the one child she had.  She went into ask for health insurance coverage for her baby and was denied. She said if she didn't have this baby, she wouldn't be here asking for help that she would be working & wouldn't need any help.  And she said she wouldn't even want to have another child because of what she was going through with her first one.

I hate how money does that to people.  It breaks down the dream and belief that one day having a family is the most amazing thing you will ever do in your life.

Anyway we still have a long way to go with our healthcare.  This is an old documentary.  I hope people who are lucky enough to grow up in a healthcare system we have today can watch this and realize how far we have come.  And WHY we still need to help each other.  I see many of today's children advocating that we should not be using our tax money to help people who CHOOSE to have families, etc, etc. It's their fault.  There are people who abuse the system, etc, etc.  There is always going to be a downside when trying to provide for those who truly need help.  But we are just going to have to take those chances in order to help the people who really deserve all our helping hands. Thanks.

It's one of those days where I just want to be in my blanket of solitude.

Happy Valentine's Day! Love Is Everything!

The best way to show love is to give love your time. Not money. Not material things. Not just saying "I love you". Time is the most valuable thing you can give someone you love. You can tell what is important to someone by what they spend the most time on.

Happy Birthday To Me !

Super stoked! A month ago I said I'd work hard to give myself a special birthday gift, ME! It hasn't been a perfect fit and super clean month. That wasn't my goal anyway. My goal was not to be perfect, but better. And I did it!! I'm down to a loss of -23lbs from my starting weight and I fit into my size small snowboarding gear! Hell yeah! I remember last year I couldn't even zip up my jacket or close it. ‪#‎happybirthdaytome‬

What Are You Doing Right Now That Will Pay Off??

I really believe that investing in your health always PAYS OFF. Do you ever regret a great workout or eating something healthier? ‪#‎physicalhealth‬ Do you ever regret being around people who truly care for you and who are positive influences to you? ‪#‎emotionalhealth‬ Do you ever regret going to the church, temple, meditation, etc? ‪#‎spiritualhealth‬ Do you ever regret getting that much needed rest, vacation, or break? ‪#‎mentalhealth‬ Do you ever regret saying something good on Facebook? LOL Yeah that's what I thought. There are choices we make every second, every minute, and every day. NOW, what kind of choice are you going to make? Is it going to be a choice you KNOW you will regret or is it going to be a choice that truly pays off for you? ‪#‎reflections‬‪#‎mindful‬ ‪#‎thoughtfulchoices‬

Try To Be Positive, Please. Please With A Cherry On Top.

I've been doing a lot of blocking, un-following, and keeping my distance from people who are the opposite of uplifting.  You might not think the things you say are negative, but you have to ask yourself if it's even positive in the first place.  It's one or the other.  It isn't a negative thing to protect your heart, spirit, and mind.  It's a self-loving thing.  You can be the richest person financially, but if you don't have a healthy mind you are still poor.

If writing it down is too much effort for you, then I don't know what to tell you.  Maybe your not worth the gain. Just sayyyyyyyin. Lol

My Journey So Far

I think I went through as much damage to my body, my heart, and my spirit during 2013/2014 so that I can make a come back and have a testimony. I dropped the emotional weight first and the rest of the weight just kept falling off quickly. Now that is the truth! You got to be healthy in your head and your heart first because that is where it starts. Your mind gives up way before your body does.  So you must really drop what is toxic to your heart & mind.  Find a way to fight what doesn't serve you and give yourself that space to believe in yourself.  Create and protect a healthy atmosphere for you to thrive in.

Just trying to research on how I can get more protein in my days without eating so much meat.

You Can't Compare Your Progress to Someone Else's Progress

Each of us go through different stresses physically, emotionally, and mentally. Not only that we live different lifestyles. There are so many variables that come into the equation of how someone can reach their wellness goals. So when it comes to YOUR PROGRESS, you really can't compare yourself to someone else. I might have to work a little harder & longer to reach my goals but it doesn't make me any less of an AMAZING person. LOL ‪#‎ilovethatword‬ wink emoticon But yeah, a person who's neglected their health for years will not immediately get the same results to another person who has been taking care of themselves for years. ‪#‎justsaying‬ ‪#‎randomthoughts‬‪#‎continueon‬
